Obstetrics and Gynecology
Dr. de Gale Graduated MBBS in 1994 from University of the West Indies.
After 6 years of postgraduate work and training in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology both in Trinidad and in the UK, and having obtained partial qualification with the Royal College of Obstetrics and Genecology, she joined Eureka Medical Clinic in 2003, where she practices Office-based Obstetrics and Genecology only.
Dr. de Gale offers antenatal and postnatal care for pregnant women, consulting or referring patients appropriately for pregnancy related complications or for delivery to hospital based specialists.
Dr. de Gale also offers a full range of office based gynecological evaluations, investigations and treatments.

Contraception: oral contraceptive, Depo-Hormone injection, Intrauterine Contraceptive device (IUCD), and arranging for tubal ligation, as appropriate. |

Cervical and breast cancer screening: annual pap smear (using the modern thin-prep method) and mammography. Women with abnormal pap smears con have the cervix further evaluated under the video-microscope by colposcopy, which allows for biopsy of abnormal areas. Abnormal cervical areas can be treated by cryotherapy, in the office. |

Post menopausal monitoring of bone density screening (bone densitometry) for osteoporosis (bone thinning), thus allowing appropriate treatment, to reduce the risk of bone fracture. This is a new service at Eureka Medical Clinic. Colo-rectal cancer screening (for cancer and polyps of the colon and rectum), which is now a standard recommendation for all women aged 50 and above, and it is also performed routinely at our clinic. |

D&C (dilatation and curettage) of the uterus, usually indicated for retained products after a miscarriage, or for other causes of abnormal uterine bleeding, including ruling out endometrial uterine cancer, is also performed by Dr. de Gale, at the clinic. |

Infertility evaluation is performed with pelvic ultrasound, hystero-salpingo-graphy (HSG) and semen analysis. |
